This is my personal blog. Unlike that one, which was more a confabulation. It’s something I make up just to be funny. This, however, may be funny to certain people. And it’s about true events, too. No shit.
And in the spirit of telling truthy things, here are some bits about me. JB Lazarte is my real name. I work at home. I work with words, primarily those written in English, and make them better. More pleasant. Or at least serve their purpose in human communication. When I’m not working, I write fiction. My stories and some poems used to get published, but life happened and that stopped for a while. Now I’m writing again, but more for my own amusement. Maybe if the right person appears on my doorstep dragging a cartload of money to pay me to write literary stuff again, you don’t expect me to say no, do you?
I won some literary award for some story about an obsessed stalker, and I have kept talking about it. Especially to people whose jobs aren’t related to writing, have stunning cleavage, and will most probably (in my own personal estimation) think I’m awesome.

In the Cut movie I’m trying to win again, writing something really winnable, but in between scratching my balls and threatening the mirror with, “Are you talkin’ to me?” there hasn’t been much I’ve accomplished in this department. But I’m very patient.
